Why the name EMG Performance Psychology?

Personalised Attention for All Your Needs

There are a number of reasons behind the name EMG Performance Psychology. Firstly, EMG refers to Liz's initials. But more interestingly, an EMG (or electromyography) is an electrical record or muscle activation and EMG's can provide a link between the mind-body relationship within sport and exercise. Hence when we say to ourselves "don't hit the ball into the water"as we prepare to hit the tee shot, our body starts to tense up and feel stressed, we subconsciously see the ball landing in the water, and what happens? The ball lands in the water!
