FAQ

You Ask - I Answer

How do I make an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, book online, via email or over the phone as a private, fee-paying client. You may be able to claim a partial rebate on the fee of your sessions through your private health fund. However, we are unable to process this rebate. Please contact your private health fund to determine if you are eligible for a partial refund.

Appointments are available from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. Appointments are available outside these times (including Saturdays and Sundays), but are by appointment only. Contact EMG Performance Psychology for further assistance.

How long are individual sessions?

Sessions are approximately 50 minutes in length with the exception of DISC Advanced individual assessments which are two hours. I do offer 30 minute catch up sessions, these sessions are for individuals who want to discuss actions/behaviours for an upcoming event or reflect on an event.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, you don't need a referral before coming to see a psychologist. Just give us a call or book online to make an appointment.

How do I pay for sessions?

Payment if made online before the session or on the day of your appointment.

Will my private health care cover these sessions?

Some private health plans cover psychology, so check with your company.

Will I be charged for a missed session?

No fee will be charged for appointments cancelled at least 48 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment. For appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment, if the appointment cannot be filled, a fee of $50 will apply.
